The second terminal was given to dicounter companies, the main of which is Easyjet. The third terminal, the biggest, hosts all other air carriers, although Alitalia flights sometimes appear on its display, the most of flights depart to non-Schengen countries. All the buildings are connected through air bridges. Everywhere in the terminals you can find signs with in-built screens, showing from what terminal – T1, T2 or T3 the certain flight will depart. There are several ways to get from Fiumicino airport to the center of Rome. The quickest and, unfortunately, the most expensive – is the Aeroexpress. It goes non-stop directly to the Rome Termini train station, the travel time is about 30 minutes, the trains depart every half an hour. One-way fare is €14, tickets can be purchased when entering the platform, at self-service machines or online, but remember to print your ticket in advance, if buying it on the Internet. The second option, also a railway one – is a usual commuter train. It goes across the entire city, making a few intermediate stops, but it doesn’t reach Roma Termini. The travel time is claimed tot be about 45 minutes, according to the schedule, but in practice, a trip may take more than an hour — Italian trains are usually late. Commuter trains depart every 15 minutes, one-way fare is € 8. Since traveling by train is not cheap, many visitors of Rome prefer to get from the airport to the city center by bus. The route between Fiumicino and the city center is served by several competing companies, running down each other’s prices. Respectively one can travel to the city center for 6 or even € 5. However, you should take into account the Rome traffic and realize that buses drive fast only late at night or early in the morning. COTRAL company carries passengers to Termini bus station, with intermediate stops near Cornelia and Eur-Magliana metro stations for € 6. The same ticket price has TAM company, and the carrier Sit Bus offers to buy a ticket online and then the fare makes €5 not €6. Furthermore, Terravision transport company offers even lower price for its services. An one-way ticket from the Fiumicino airport to Roma Termini Train Station in the city center costs €6, a round trip is €11; if the ticket is purchased online, the price is reduced to €4 and €8 respectively. The journey takes about an hour according to the schedule, but usually it lasts a little more because of the inevitable traffic jams. A taxi transfer from the Fiumicino airport to the center of Rome will cost about €45. If your destination is in the suburbs, the taxi ride will be more expensive – about € 55-60. Внимание!
